Lost Wax & Grapevine at ‘A Tale of Two Wards’

On July 7th, 2017, Experience Events Group, Lost Wax, J.Reiger & Co., Lon Lane Inspired Occasions, and Grapevine Photography teamed up to create and capture a one-of-a-kind birthday party for father & son, Scott & Taylor Ward. Around 150 guests turned out to celebrate with Scott who turned 60 and Taylor who turned 30.

The venue was the J. Rieger Distillery in the East Bottoms. This historic building, which acts as the distillery and warehouse space for J. Rieger, has no power or air conditioning. EEG completey transformed the space into a perfectly comfortable and stunning environment for the Wards & their guests, using furniture supplied by Studio Dan Meiners.

J. Reiger & Co. provided hand-crafted cocktails including signature drinks for both Scott and Taylor. Scott chose an Herbed Lemonade spiked with J. Rieger vodka and prosecco. Taylor’s drink was a combination of gingered orange juice, cherry liqueur, J. Rieger bourbon, and ginger beer.

Lon Lane catering served up an eye-catching dinner spread with a dual personality: home-cooked favorites like fried chicken and modern classics such as beef tenderloin in a cabernet sauce.

Lost Wax performed both cocktail and party music with a 7-piece lineup that included Eboni Fondren, John Goolsby, and Anthony Saunders on vocals, Mark Lowrey on keys, Greg Briggs on sax, Matt Hopper on guitar, and Chris Davis on drums.
